The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) is developing thermal power plant at Ramagundam, Peddapalli district Telangana

It is India’s biggest floating solar plant. 

Power generation capacity of this plant is100MW.

450 acres area coverd by this plant with 4.5 lakh photovoltaic panels,subject to expansion. 

According to C.V. Anand this is largest floating solar plant in the country in a single location as of now.

C.V. Anand is Executive Director of NTPC Southern Region.

Floating solar plants refer to the deployment of photovoltaic panels on the surface of water bodies.

 NTPC earned the title of Maharatna Company in May 2010.
